Wahoe Commune Rishikesh

Souvenir Shop,Rishikesh
Wahoe is pleased to announce its joint venture with an orphanage school Sabka Ghar and it’s affiliated charity shop in Rishkesh. Wahoe has helped setup the infrastructure and would like to start sending volunteers to help with the project. Volunteers will help in the charity shop with their daily tasks as well as marketing to the community. Others will be placed in the orphanage itself, assisting with the daily teaching and childcare.

Volunteers placed in Rishikesh will be set up at a local hotel, and thus, will be required to acquire their own food. This project is very important concerning our financial assistance.Right now it is the beginning, but if it will be successful,we would be much sustainable with our education projects across India and Nepal.

Rishikesh is a small town in the northern state of Uttarakhand in India. Scenically located where the Ganges River comes down from the Himalayas, Rishikesh catapulted to Western fame when the Beatles dropped by for a visit to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's ashram (now closed), and the town is still known as the World Capital of Yoga.

Rishikesh is also the Gateway to the Himalayas. The Char Dham Yatra (Four Shrines Sacred Journey) ideally begins from Rishikesh.

By Bus
From Delhi the city is about 230 km away and is well connected with buses. A bus journey may take about 5-7 hours - depending on the traffic. The right time to visit would be February, March, August-October.
